There are two ways to product sorting in WooCommerce – manually for a smaller number of products, or globally if you want to quickly achieve the desired effect.
Global product sorting
Global sorting is an ideal solution for stores with a large number of products that require quick and automatic organization of the inventory. It can be based on various criteria, such as popularity, price, number of units sold, or customer ratings. Automated algorithms can also dynamically adjust the order of products based on user behavior, which increases the chances of better conversion and matching the offer to customer expectations.
When using FSE (Full Site Editor) themes, select the Product Collection block to display all products and specify the sorting order there (in the block settings sidebar).

We can also choose other blocks to display products, depending on whether we want to show all or limit them to a specific assortment (e.g. featured products).
In the case of old-style themes, we can go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Archives and specify how products are sorted there:

Manual sorting
Manual sorting is particularly effective for stores with a smaller number of products, where detailed control over the display order is crucial. This allows the seller to precisely adjust the product list layout to current needs. For example, by highlighting seasonal bestsellers, new arrivals, or high-margin products. This is useful in industries where sales priorities frequently change, and personalization plays an important role.
We can also manually sort products to move a specific item to the desired position. Simply go to the full product list, grab the product, and drag it into place:

Sorting allows customers to quickly find what they are looking for, without having to browse the entire product catalog. This improves the so-called shopping experience, making it more intuitive and enjoyable. This directly affects purchasing decisions. By sorting products in a specific way, we can extract those that we want to present, additionally arranging the whole thing in the best way for the customer.
